pardner pump ??
« on: February 04, 2005, 07:59:54 AM »
i'm looking for a cheap pump for duck hunt and i'm looking at the pardner pump. if i can get a shotgun at walmart i'll get the maverick 88 but the walmart thats closest to me is in maryland i;m in virginia and some law that say i cant get a gun there. if i cant i;ll have to get one from the gun shop they run about 100 $$ more than mal mart. so it looks like the pardner synthetic. i'm not intrested in the "china" crap, i just want to know how good they are. i heard theyr very comparable to the 870 in quality and looks has any one here shot one???? thanks for any info!!!!!!
I've got to many but never enough!!!!

Are you on the eastern shore? I thought you could buy in Md. I'm in De and I think we can buy in Md and Pa. Honestly I think you'd be better searved buy a used 870 wing master. No matter if you buy it from a shop or walmart the Mossy is going to be close to the same price and I'd go that way choosing between the two just on principle.

i don't want to start a long drawn out thread but the man asked a question - my friend pete has a pardner pump. it was in his price range, and he uses the heck out of it. no mis-fires, no jams, and clean crisp cycling, he swears by it.

unlike me, he needs the extra shots !!!!!! :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D

only kidding !

Mavericks are down to $137 and change at the Academy Sports shops here in Okla. Might check if ya have one near you and see about their price. I just made a deal yesterday with one of my sons to buy his 835 Ulti-Mag.....Honey Satin Walnut stocks...modified tube....swivel studs.....less than 75 rounds thru it........$100. I think I made a pretty good deal.

You should be ashamed taking advantage of a young man like that. Tell him I'll give him $110.00.

I just looked at one in walmart and that's one heck of a deal. Maybe he saw the single shots and thought you had fallen on some hard times.
