MN: Judge dismisses lion hunter's lawsuit
Submitted by: Eric Foss

"A suit brought against a Twin Cities ammunition manufacturer by a big-game hunter who claimed his injuries from a wounded lion were caused by a defective bullet has been dismissed by a federal judge in Minneapolis."

"Rolf Rohwer of Scotland, who said he had killed more than 100 lions in more than 40 years of hunting, suffered permanent injuries after a lion he shot while on safari in Africa charged him, according to court documents."

"But U.S. District Judge James Rosenbaum rejected Rohwer's argument that the bullet manufactured by Federal Cartridge Co. of Anoka had a defective design or should have carried a warning that it wasn't suitable for stopping a charging lion at close range." ...
