benelli sbe1 vs. sbe2
« on: February 06, 2005, 08:37:55 AM »
I am torn between these two guns.  I have heard of some cycling problems (timing with the second round-ejecting empties and a live round at the same time.)  If you could save $200-300, would you stick with the proven sbe1 and add a Limbsaver, or get the new sbe2.  Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks guys.

The difference is not just the pad.  the new sbe2's have the comfort tech stock and pad which is made of a gel-like rubber which is a lot more comfortable on your face, plus the pad is designed to fit your shoulder and dissapate the recoil.  The trigger guard is bigger, and the best part is that the barrels are criogenically frozen and now withstand all conditions, especially repeated shots of steel, which is damaging on barrels.  Also there is a new choke tube system that is a lot more consistant for patterns.  DEFINETELY worth the extra $200.  I have the supersport and it is AWESOME.
