unfortunately 204 ammo is still rare, but I did find some 222 rem mag brass. There is one problem with it and that is the cases are nickle plated. My assumption is that they are no good for fire forming but I wanted to confirm that.

But saying that these are OK or I find some plain brass ones is fire forming possible with a handi. All of what I have read has been with bolt guns where the partially size the neck until they can squeeze it into the chamber then fire form .

Also what sort of load do you use to fire form.

Hopefully the ammo supply picks up by spring but I was really wanting to try the 204 on a coyote this year.

I'll likely be starting with the 32 grain a-max what sort of results have people been getting from the other sizes?

.204 factory ammo is quite common here in rem and hornady and now winchester and at $12-13 a box, not too spendy. Win white box and HSM is also available from Cabelas. Brass is only available in once fired flavor, lots being offered on Ebay as well as 222mag brass. Lots of shooters at Predatormasters and AR have contacted the seller privately and bought lots of brass and have been quite happy. Fireforming .204 brass from 222 mag is possible with a little work, though...

The supply chain north of the 48the tends to be 6-12 months longer compared to you guys. So the rem and winey ammo should be hear early summer in the best case. As an example the first box of 17 mr 20 gar step did not show up until late september last year were you not shooting them in the previous spring.

cabalas does list 204 brass (there list is mixed up so it is hidden) but they don't have it yet and they don't ship brass to Canada. But I'll have them ship it to my sister in Iowa and she will send it to me but i'll make that order when I hear cabalas has got stock. Either that or huntingtons plans on having it and I do think they will still ship brass to me.

The last I heard was cabalas is sending me a set of redding dies so all I need is brass or rounds. Quick has your hand shown a preference for a particular bullet?

According to the fellas at Predatormasters, Midway has Winchester 204 brass in stock even though the web site says they don't, but hurry....I would expect that if Midway has it, so should Midsouth and Natchez and the others, though....

Thanks for the link I'll see if I can work something out with my sister. One of my local shops says that february is a big restocking month so hopefully the ammo situation clears up.

It's not so bad the delay gives me time to test out some blue dot loads in the 243. All I need is time, money and weather to line up for me.
