Steve is right on but it could depend on your load, your gun and your loading techniques.
If you have a largish chamber, use hot loads, don't lube your case necks before sizing, your cases might not last as long.
I have an HS Precision barrel and my cases last nearly forever - mostly Remington but I'm using some Win now. Thats a near match quality chamber - production barrels might be different.
I use Ken Waters' partial full length size technique - set size die so its about a dime's thickness off the shell holder.
I use hornady unique lube on the case walls and Imperial graphite on the necks inside and out (Redding is selling it now). I trim every so often.
My main load is about 72 gr (may range 71-73) of IMR 4831 with 180 gr bullets and CCI mag, Win Larg Rifle or Fed 215 primers.
Some brass was probably loaded over 10 times maybe 15. But I inspect carefully as I know its getting older, (I keep each 20 in a fixed box with the begin use date and average wt for the batch). If I start getting case neck splits or the primer pockets get noticeably easier to seat I discard and start with new brass.
