Rossi '92 hunting loads in 45LC?
« on: February 19, 2005, 02:25:53 PM »
I just picked up one of these, and already I'm thinking about hunting with it. Anybody have any experience with heavy bullet loads - 325grs plus?

Lee Precision makes a two cavity mould for a three hundred grain flat nose gas check bullets.  Mine worked well from the start and continues to cast very good bullets.
I use Lil'Gun in a below maximum load that shoots well.
I have not hunted with it yet but would not hesitate to use it here in the Louisiana swamps for whitetail or hogs.  Should put both down easily.
RE: the M92.  I have ordered a Williams 5D peep sight and a front Firesight to replace the factory open sights.  My ageing eyes and those cowboy sights don't get along.  After they are installed it should be easy to sight it in and know where I am hitting.
See the previous posts to remove the safety on the bolt.
Best.
