superlight 243 accuracy

What kind of accuracy can I expect out of a superlight 243 out to 300 yards  with 90 to 100 grain bullets ? How much more accurate would the ultra hunter in the same caliber be ?

wbyman, first welcome to the forum    i am pretty new here myself but the help has been right on time. i have the 243 stainless and am very impressed with it . i shot 100 grain core locs and 80 grain psps as well as some 85 grain ballistic tips . at 300 shooting off the hood of my truck i can put all of them in a spot about as big as my fist.i know that is not very scientific but i am a hunter and i only worry about one shot at a time. i think the 80s shot a little better and the did a fine job on deer this year. i hope this helps. icthus

, Welcome aboard wbyman, I don't know of anyone who has achieved acceptable accuracy at 300 yards with any H&R Superlight. The hunting accuracy seems to be acceptable but not at that yardage. I personally think the Standard configuration barrel might be better and the Ultra would be the best for longer distance. If you are looking for a 300 yard hunting rifle I would personally go with and suggest the .280 Remington in the Ultra....<><.... :grin:
