I did it!

Well I went out this morning and purchased a S&W 1911 stainless w/fixed sights with white dots. Thought it would be best for carry. Now I have to wait the 10 days. I`ll give eveyone a range report after I test it out.

Can you get a CCW up there in Anderson?  That's Plumas county, isn't it?

Is 10 days a standard wait time for California?

WNY; yeah 10 days is the normal wait for guns in Ca. It use to be 15 days! Also had to take their new handgun saftey test, show proof of residency, and when I pick it up, show them safe handling. WOW. And Dusty I think your asking me about what it takes to get a CCW? it will take me a two day class,[two 8hr Sat`s] cost 90.00 now and then I`ll have to go down to the court house and pay 120.00 for the cirtificate. I think it`s good for four or five years. But I better do this while Jim Pope is still our sheriff. He still has a few years left. 8 days and counting!
