Has Taurus gotten their QC act together?
« on: March 08, 2005, 07:21:10 AM »
Greetings!
 :D
I'm new to this board and was wondering if Taurus has finally gotten it's act together as far as QC is concerned. I have read many old posts and some new ones - many say that the new firearms have become much better than the older models. Please let me know. I'm especially interested in the Model 905 9mm revolver. Anyone having any experience with them, please let me know. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

I've seen a few recent Taurus revolvers with chamber index alignment problems.  Shine a pencil light down the bore from the muzzle and check for this before you buy.

I wish they would, because I love those Titanium 4"! Even the gunstore said he did not trust them.  :(

I've purchased 9 SS Taurus rev. handguns over the last four years, including; RG.44mag, RB 454, RB 480, RH, .44 Sil, .17 rev, .22 rev, .22Sil, ? CRS on the last one.....I have had no bad luck with all these guns all work as they should and shoot better than I.  I purchased a new Ruger SuperBlackHawk and had to pound out the brass in one of the chambers because of the lack of QC.....had to remove a nick in the chamber which was pressed into the brass when fired.  Also have purchased a number of S&W also without any problems....may be we only hear way to often on the bad guns and not enough on the good working ones.........just a friendly thought!!
