I can't seem to find them mentioned anywhere on Marlin's site. Did they stop making the smallbore target rig?

Anybody know?

i think they quit making them in 2003. .they are very good shooting guns, but now you might find 1 at a gun show for around $400 or gunsamerica.com. i seen 1 about 8 months ago at a gun shop for $375,and im still kicking myself for not buying it in time! .they were made around 1999 to 2003.

Yep, discontinued. Even in the last year(s) they were available in the synthetic stock only.  Stumbled onto this one last year for $350. It's now my silhouette rifle.

FWIW, They were going for $550+ new in the end ( When a new Anshutz was only $250 more.) To me, the price and trigger is what doomed them.

Bought mine new in 2001 I think. I love shotting it. Tried to get a biathlon kit for it but they are "rare as rocking horse poop".

Sort of glad I didnt get the kit now, the price was outrageous in my opinion.

Until I bought my 7000 I use to take it squirrel hunting and it was extremely accurate in this role. Lugging an 8lb 22 was its only drawback.
