I have taken the parallax out of rifle scopes by adjusting the front lens, i have never messed with a hand gun scope. parallax occurs at different distances in scopes, they are put to gether on an assembly line. none of those will be put together the same. I lay the scope down and not touch it and look through the lens at a target, move your head around, if the cross hairs move you have parallax. move the target out five yards and try again. when the cross hairs lock your parallax free. that's the distance I shoot at. being you want to shoot at 25 yds you need to look into a scope with an AO adjustment or a lower power scope. Good Luck
