NEW RIFLE
« on: February 17, 2005, 01:27:59 PM »
I'VE BEEN CONTEMPLATING MY NEXT RIFLE.

CAN ANY ONE COMPARE THE MERITS OF A DIXIE PENN. RIFLE, .45 CAL.

IN FLINT, AGAINST THE MERITS OF A CABELAS BLUE RIDGE FLINT ,   .45 CAL.

MY THIRD OPTION IS A LYMAN PERC. IN .54CAL.

I'LL PROBABLY BUY BOTH THE .45 AND THE .54 EVENTUALLY BUT AM

 UNDECIDED WHICH TO BUY NEXT.

CABELAS BLUE RIDGE FLINT ?

A buddie of mine just bought the cabela's blue ridge in a flinter in 54 cal.I ask him how was the overall fit when it came to metal and wood fit and how did the gun spark and shoot ,he had nothing bad to say about the gun.I think cabelas still have them on sale for $450.00,they are not listed anymore in there catalog ,but they still have them.I think he said that he like the overall weight of the blue ridge 7 1/2 pound excellent feel a little better then the lyman GPR.I thought of buying one but I do have a t/c renegade flinter in 54 cal, that shoots great. :D
