The Marlins seem to be a lot more expensive? Why?

What are the major pros and cons between each?

I think the Marlins are in higher demand due to the authenticity of those rifles in the CASS and for hunting because of the wider availability of caliber choices. The Marlins also work better with handgun cartridges. The Winchester levers seem to have some problems with feeding pistol cartridges and don't have as wide a caliber selection as theMarlins do. Just a thought. Mikey.

Winchesters are also more difficult to disassemble and reassemble. The bolt on a Marlin is easily removed for cleaning.

The 94 is a sloppy action with a rear lock on the bolt. The Marlin is a tight action with a forward located lock on the bolt. Wood on Marlins beats wood on Winchesters. That Black Walnut must cost them extra. Marlins are more accurate. They have better trigger pulls. And, you can only find a .35 Rem in only a Marlin lever. Need I say more?
