I got me a "new toy" for hunting tree rats next when deer season ends here on Monday.The season last here till end of Feb.,and all the deer hunters will be gone,come Tuesday.I got a Savage 64F,w/ a # x 7 x 20 Tasco scope.If I see half as many tree rats as I have seen deer hunting I'm going to need a lot of ammo.I figure what will happen is,no rats just deer then :lol: :lol: Who ever said life was fair? :roll: .......................Rick

Jim,I took my new toy Sat. to the range.After 10 or 12 shots at 25 yrds.,I finally got it sighted in.I put up new "Shoot-N-See" targets at 25 and 50 yrds.I can put 10 out of 10 in the "10" ring at both distances :lol: .Of course from a bench rest.Close enough for me for "tree rats"The only thing I don't like about the mod 64 is the clip;or should I really not the clip itself,but the fact it only holds 10 rounds.Damn,I got so tired loading the clip.I wonder if they make a 20 or 30 shot clip for my Savage?Other than the lack of more rounds it worked fine.Ran probably 100 or so rounds thru her.Not a singl misfire or jam.I use Fed 36 gr.,copper coated hollow points.No problems.....................Rick
