.204 Ruger Ammunition
« on: February 12, 2005, 01:57:54 PM »
I've been looking at all the local places for .204 ammo, but no luck so far.  I've read some of the posts regarding where others are getting their ammo, but it hasn't helped me much.  I've never bought ammo on-line, or through the mail, so any advice on those avenues would be appreciated.  Any wild guess on when it will start to show up at Wal-Mart?  I'm only 100 miles from Cabela's in Sidney, NE and my work will be taking me by there shortly...plan on picking up as much as the wallet will support.  I'm definitely not dogging Cabela's, but Wal Mart does seem to be a bit more wallet-friendly.

I will reload my own eventually, but want to have some ammo on hand when my UV shows up.

I bought 204 ammo at Midsouth, Midway and Cabelas, it runs about $12-$13 a box plus UPS ground shipping only, can't be shipped by US Mail. The hornady and remington are available locally in 32 and 40 gr loads. While you're at Cabelas, get some of the win white box 34gr JHP  if they have it in stock yet, it's $26 for a box of 40, they also have HSM 33 and 39 gr double hollow points for $29 a box of 50.
