Anybody reload the 7.5 Swiss?
« on: February 14, 2005, 01:23:48 PM »
I got my first K31, and would like to reload for it.  The problem is....I can't find dies, brass or bullets for this round.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thank you.

Try Grafs they have dies and brass and  since the K31 though called a 7.5  uses a 308 diameter bullet so any 308 bullet will do the job. I do not have one of these yet but will next month.  I also plan to reload for it. Lee also shows the 7.5x55 dies in their catalog so they should not be that hard to find. Jim
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

Thanks.

I finally think I found what I was looking for.  I didn't know about grafs, but it's a "favorite" now.

I didn't know the 7.5 was a 308.  I thought it would be closer to the 303, but I've seen several sites of that said it's a 308.

NO WONDER I couldn't find 7.5mm bullets.

Redding K-31 Dies
« Reply #3 on: February 15, 2005, 04:00:30 AM »
I would recommend the Redding dies for the K-31. They make a set of dies specifically for the short throat K-31. I'm getting .5" 3 shot groups with my K-31 at 100 yds using a no drill and tap scout scope mount. The K-31s are amazingly accurate rifles.

St Marie-

-but they show not to be in stock.

In a pinch, 284 Win brass can be used if you can't find 7.5x55 brass. One pass thru the sizing die and you're ready to go. Case head is is a little smaller, but does not seem to cause a problem with extraction. This is what was used instead of the high Norma brass before the K-31 becomae so popular.
