More Black Mag 3 news....

Guys,

Got an e-mail today from the customer service department of the makers of Black Mag 3.  I had inquired about getting the product onto more dealer's shelves.  I was told that they are in negotiations with Bass Pro and several other large chains.  Hopefully this will make access to the stuff a little easier, and no extra shipping fees.  Can't wait to try the stuff.

I have a little more information that may be of interest. Black Mag'3 is now being made by a major munitions manufacturer and has been moved from the original site which had some manufacturing problems. The move and setup charges is part of the reason for the price increase. I suspect with time the price may come down some. The non-corrosive statement is valid from what I have been able to find out to date. The chemical results after burning and mixture with water during cleaning results in a PH which neutralizes acid rather than forming it like other powders. There is a tendency for the resultant to tarnish brass but soaking in water (like the .25ACP brass after shooting) solves the problem. Distribution after the Shot Show should increase as there were several contacts made with the marketing people during the show from information I have been able to get. Magkor people have told me they are trying to get stores other than Cabelas like either Bass Pro Shops or possible Sportsmans Warehouse to carry the product. Distributors are being set up in the Western part of the US to get the product to dealers there also. I am going to be really happy when Arizona is on the list of states with availability as I have been having it shipped and paying the hazmat fee. For you Arizona people the Scottsdale representative for a Colorado distributor has indicated that he will help to get some product into a few stores in Mesa as soon as possible. I too have been in contact with the guys at Magkor.  I spoke with a represenative about becoming a dealer, but the price is to much.  I was going to deal out of my home, but I could not bite off 500.00 in product that might take me a while to sell.  I did however ask if and when BassPro would come on line and was told that while this rep was not a part of the negotiations, there were reps from BassPro and Magkor talking about a deal.  I can say I'm counting my chickens before they hatch as I've got a BP twenty miles from my home.
