sorry for my ignorance but what is the forcing cone and what does extending or polishing them do? I've done work on rifles but never shotguns. I'm wanting to try turkeys in the near future and considering a turkey barrel for one of my NEFs. Thanks for any input.

Before spending the $ on a forcing cone job, pattern the barrel with your intended load. it might not even need it. A lot of folks say that the money is better spent on a good aftermarket choke tube.
