Uncle Mikes sling mounts

Midway has #316094 sling and swivel mount kit for 7600 that screws into the front of the rifle. Has anyone used it? Its decryption said post 1968 rifles! It makes more sense than the one that mounts on the barrel. The latter one makes for a short sling.

Went to Uncle Mikes sight, they are saying two different ones. I don't know if Midway is right or wrong.

The complaint that I have heard about the swivel that mounts into the forearm is that it puts extra unneeded pressure on the forearm which has caused extra rattle. I don't like this style. I either use the regular kit for a 7600 or I use the barrel bands for lever actions. The lever action mount doesn't wrap around the barrel and gives the rifle a unique look to it.
Expect it when you least expect it
