As I recall my special orders came in about a week. Very fast turn around. I bet they keep some in stock...

My special order took  nearly 3 months. The .459 is not a problem. Just lap a .457 out. Searching this forum for "Clover" should find instructions.

Wow, three months...What the heck did you special order Leftoverdj?  I just order a .278" (can't believe they don't offer a sizer for a 270--must not be too popular with cast).  The literature said allow 4 weeks.  I am only at the start of the 3rd week so I still have some time left before I begin to panic!...BCB

BCB. I ordered 25 .259s. I was told that they had to wait for supplies. My impression is that Lee outsources as much as they can. I also was in on a mould deal that was delayed by a month or more pending sprue plates.

There are some odd gaps in Lee's line. No heavy .38/.357s. Nothing suitable for .35 rifles. Only GC .45 rifle mould is the 500 grain which would be the one you would be the least likely to want GCed

I have the .459 for my 45/70 it works great! If memory does not fail me I think it was around a week. Jim
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

Push through how to lube?
« Reply #7 on: February 17, 2005, 12:04:50 AM »
Ok,

I have got to ask, how do you lube with this sizer? And how hard is it to put gas checks on with it? I have never looked at one close, but for the price they are looking better all the time.

Most use the Lee Tumble Lube (the stuff works great) or you could pan lube.

The sizer installs into your single stage press in place of a die. Instead of a shell holder in your press you use a punch http://www.leeprecision.com/cgi/catalog/partimage.cgi?IMAGE=1338
You just put the gas check on the bullet, put the bullet on the punch and shove it through the sizer.

Jgalar,

Thanks, I figure I will have to pan lube for BPRC loads, don't want to send them out naked with a load of BP chasing them down the barrel!
