Author Topic: Man, I hate it when that happens!!! (Read 1097 times)

Went to Sportsmans's Warehouse yesterday to pick up some XMP5744 powder and fed 250 primers to load up some smokeless rounds for the BC 45-120....while there, I looked at their guns, naturally....they had a NIB BC for $299...$309 out the door with Oregon's $10 background check fee....I specifically called them before I ordered my BC to see if they had any, the gun counter guy told me they don't stock that model of H&R....so I ordered one here in town for $343 out the door.....go figure!!! They must have some H&R people working at SW!!! :roll:

One of the latches was broken on my BC hard case, so I took a digital pic of the broken latch and emailed DoskoSport a request along with the pic of the broken latch requesting a replacement....got 4 new latches yesterday.....but the wrong ones! The latch I need is a rectanglar latch that snaps in place on a hinge and the pic I sent em clearly shows what kind of latch is it, but the ones they sent me are the long skinny kind that slide to on a track to latch..... :x :roll:

Its tough to find good help these days, Quick. Are you sure the picture wasn't upside down :shock: ?

I know exactly what ya mean...when I wanted to sign up for DSL service it ws 39.95...My home page had a ad for 34.95...I called SBC and they said that was if you halready had one of their service features like call waiting or yada yada yada...I said I didn't want that crap but I wanted the service for 34.95 or I was going to cancel my phone and just use my cell phone. :x .....they gave it to me for 34.95.......they have the DSL service on now for 19.95!!!! :evil: :evil: :evil:

P.S. Call um and tell um your sending them back....they are the wrong ones and send ya the correct ones......sell the ones ya got on E-Bay.... :-D :-D :-D .......................................Disclaimer: This was just posted in Jest... :wink:

You tell me how they decided the one they sent me on the left looks like the pic of the one I sent em on the right!

Deadeye, I'm not sending them anything, they made the mistake, if they want em back, they can pay for shipping....more than likely they don't care, it probably cost them less than the .83¢ postage to get em to me. I just don't understand how they can send me a latch that doesn't look anything like the one I asked for! I can understand their misunderstanding if they didn't know which one I needed, but they had a photo of the one I needed..... :roll:

C'mon Quick....in all fairness, they DO look almost alike. I still think they had the picture upside down :roll:

Well, at least they are quick to respond....just got a reply from Christy, the CS person who I sent the original request to, she's sending the correct latch out today! I sent the second request at 12:10pm today, she responded at 12:41pm!! See....when you're nice to em, you CAN get good service.....even though sometimes their service leaves a bit to be desired! What's the old adage about flies and honey??? :wink:

To tell you the truth, if they hadn't been busy with other customers at the time, I would have brought it home with me! I waited for about 5 minutes for em to help me, then layed the BC on the counter and left....I couldn't justify another one...I can get a 45-70 barrel for my BC for $135 if I decide I want one in the original chambering....it sure was tempting, though....the handi-holic urge was definately strong.... :-D

I'm in the same boat. No matter how diligently I apply conservative consumerism (looking for good deals), there's always a better deal...right after I make my purchase. I'm pretty positive that I'll receive my Ultra Varmint, after a longer-than normal wait, then they'll be readily available at the local Wal Mart for way less than what I paid. Heck, they'll probably be giving them away.

It's kind of like the wise old saying for trophy animals. "If it's a trophy to you, it's a trophy...period." Just substitute "good deal" for "trophy".

Any .204 ammo at Sportsman's Warehouse? We've got one close, in Loveland, CO, and I checked it on Sunday. They acted like they'd never heard of the .204 Ruger.

I hear ya buddie, I bought my .223 at my gun dealer for $250.00 then went to wal-mart to get some ammo and there it is in the rack for $187.70! :oops: Jimmy
