I am in the process of buying a used 12 gauge ultra slug (see my earlier post). What I really want is a 20 gauge, but this is a good deal so I'm going with it. My question:
If I were to find someone who wants to trade a 20 gauge barrel for the 12 gauge barrel, what is the likelihood that it would fit my receiver correctly? I know that for rifles you have to send it to the company for fitting and that if you buy a used barrel it may or may not lign up correctly. Is it the same for the shotgun barrels?
I presume the 20 gauge would have significantly less kick than the 12 or am I wrong about this? From what I have been told, the 20 gauge slug has basically the same ballistics as the 12, or am I again misguided?
