Has anyone ever raised 2 puppies together? If so would you do it again, and do you have any tips for raising 2 littermates?

You would be better off buying one and waiting 6 months and get another.  If you are using them to hunt you will have to keep them seperated for a while.  It all has to do with social structure.  If they will be house pets you might be okay.

We have raised beagles for years.  Have had no problems raising litter mates.  But with beagles just about everything is easy.

I think if you have the place to keep two dogs it is great. The pups will have company and a playmate all the time. Most folks can not be with their dog 24 hrs a day so having two keeps boredom and loneliness to a minimum. That being said training is another matter, trying to train two dogs at the same time does not work. Split them up at training time and do their sessions separately until they get some age and experience under their belts.

Guys I rehomed one of them today with my best freind and he is doing great. But the one I kept is howling like a wolf, whining, and searching for his brother like crazy. But he is eating and sleeping as usual. Do you think he will get over his loss pretty soon?

BYW they are only 3 1/2 months old and were having problems being together
