Does anyone know if the Rossi rifle : recievers can be fitted to different caliber barrels like the NEF's?

I've heard for awhile that Rossi is going to start a barrel program, but I don't think it has happened yet. Someone will chime in who knows for sure.

Their barrel program still isn't on line.

They've been talking about the barrel program for years now. I'd like to find a barrel that would make my .243 Rossi shoot anything under a 12" group. Maybe use the stock and reciever for a shotgun or something, so it's not a total waste of money.
Never again.
