Nosler Bullet Lengths

Would someone do me a favor.  Measure the bullet lengths of any Nosler .224 bullets you might have on hand.  I have searched the Nosler web site, but they dont show lengths.  Don't want to have to buy a box of each to find out.  Thanks, Mike.

I am reloading Nosler BT (Spitzer) 55 gr in .224 for my .223 and the bullets are measuring .808" to .809".

40g Ballistic tip- .690
45g Solid base(Hornet)-.561
52g HP Match- .732
55g Ballistic tip- .811

Thanks guys.

Wonder why the bullet companies don't publish bullet lengths?

They publish diameters, ballistic coefficient, sectional density, weights but not lengths.  My software ballistic program asked for the length to do calculations.  So far I have found only the Swift Bullets publish lengths, but I have always had good luck with Nosler and Hornady and wanted to use them first.

Yes ... they are the orange tipped ones. They are performing very well in my new .223 Savage.

They don't publish lengths because they are different with each lot they run. Even the plastic tipped ones very somewhat. It's for that reason that I use a bullet comparator from Sinclair to measure my LOA's. With it your measuring from the ogive(major dia.) instead of the point. Soft points are the worst offenders in this respect. The variation comes from how the nose form finishes up, and may be simply who does the measuring and setup.

What do you need or use this measurement for anyway? I don't see or understand the usage.
