« on: April 02, 2005, 06:12:20 PM »
Can anyone please help? I have been  looking  for these primers, with no luck. D&R sports is out of stock. Does anyone have some for sale or know who may have some in stock? Thanks! Roger

Winchester also has a "less powerful" primer out now!

It's labeled "209 PRIMERS FOR INLINE MUZZLE LOADERS"!

They run almost $4.00/100 here!

The Winchester primers are the same as the regular Winchester 209 primers and are only reboxed in a box that says for Muzzleloaders. They are not less powerful. Remington is coming out with one that truely is cleaner but will not be available until late summer.

If I could not fined Remington 209-4 primers, I would use Standard CCI primers. They are the are the coolest next to 209-4's.

CCI's are great if you do not mind your groups going from 1" to 3" at 50 yards.  At least that is what they did in my wifes gun and my gun. but all guns are different.
