Anyone ever see a Colt Viper?
« on: December 12, 2004, 12:02:38 PM »
I saw one listed in the Gun Digest Book of Modern Gun Values, and it looks like a neat little piece.

Thanks,
Michbob

Viper? I thought Chrylser made those.    :)

It's just a Cobra with 4" barrel. Should be a nice gun.

MichBob:

The Colt "Viper" is a neat little revolver!  I lucked out awhile back and discovered one of these little "Jewels"!  :D  It balances real well with the four-inch barrel.  It only weighs about 20 ounces!  Very light!  My Viper is a "Blued" one!  It is in NIB condition!  It has never been fired!  I plan to keep it that way!  These have proven to be very "Elusive" to find!  I might consider selling mine someday?  There are alot of "Snake" collector's out looking for these revolvers!

8) Colt also made a few hybrid revolvers called the PyBack.  These consisted of a Diamondback frame and a Python barrel.  Neat gun.  I only saw one, and it belonged to a Colt rep..  I am not sure if they were ever offered to the general public.

These were not like the Smolts (S & W frame/Colt Barrel) that were gunsmith only creations.
No such thing as too dead.

:cb2: One of my favorite .357s is my Colt Grizzly. It a King Cobra frame with a 6" ported Python barrel. Tis a fine shootin' weapon!
