Remington 10mm R10MM1 ammo spec question
« on: March 04, 2005, 09:05:35 PM »
Have a question about 2 boxes of Remington 10mm auto ammo I purchased at a gun show.
This is 170 grain Hollow point ammo, load #R10MM1, the first load that Remington produced in 10mm Auto. (not to be confused with the sub-sonic R10MM3)
The bullet looks extremely like a 10mm Hornady XTP-HP.
I cannot find ANY specs for this stuff anywhere; it is most definitely NOT a sub-sonic lite 10mm load based on test-firing....recoil is quite a bit heavier than both 175gr Winchester Silvertips, and 180gr Rem-UMC FMJ ammo.

Can anyone give me the factory fps and energy specs for this load ?
I have looked all over the internet and find ZERO regarding this load....it must have been shown in the Remington catalog at one time (maybe late 1980's ??)

ANYONE ?????
Your help would be greatly appreciated !
Go MAGNUM/MAX LOAD or GO HOME !
Always use MUCH more gun than the minimum required to do the job.
Recoil is your FRIEND...It lets you know you are using something WORTHWHILE !
