Another Trigger Question
« on: January 29, 2005, 09:51:32 AM »
I own a Marlin 880. While shooting it today for the first time in a couple of years, I noticed how stiff the trigger is and that it has a long pull. Immediately I thought of this web site and asking for help correcting the problem. What I'm getting from other posts is that a new trigger is the only answer, Is that right or is their adjustments I can make?

MARLIN TRIGGERS

Any good gunsmith can lighten the trigger on these Marlin .22's. Or,if you feel confident you could run a fine polishing stone on the trigger and sear to smooth it out.Look at it with a magnifying glass and look for roughness and machine marks.A drop of good quality gun lube on the trigger and sear works well too.

Yep, an easy trigger to get to 2-2.5# and crisp as glass.
