I noticed that Remington will not be offering the 6.5x55 in the Spartan line as EAA did (spartangunworks.com).  Too bad.  I just lost interest in them.  They list .223, .243, .270 and .30-'06.

Anybody know when they will be available?  I was really hoping they would offer the 7.62x39!

Could they possibly have designed an uglier rifle?  I don't think so.

I guess it looks like what it is.   An oversized bulky 12 gauge shotgun frame, with a puny form-arm and rifle barrel jury rigged to the front of it.  These make the lowliest NEF rifles look beautiful..

   I predict a market failure.

Just my opinion.

Aside from a  Contender or Encore carbine, a single-shot just doesn't seem to look right without a falling block!!!

Sports South Inc. (Walmart's supplier) is showing the Spartan SPR18 "in stock" in .223 and 30-06.   If they follow the normal discount pattern they ought to be about $180.
