They didn't work very well, at least on the two deer I have seen shot with them. Of course that isn't a good number of shots to use to determine how well they work either. One deer was shot again with a shotgun after being hit at less than 50 yards, and the other was recovered a few days later. By that time the coyotes, foxes and crows had already had their way with the carcass so I couldn't tell what the bullet did. The deer that was recovered intact had taken a shoulder shot, and the bullet fragmented-he wasn't going fast so another shot with the shotgun was pretty easy. I would use something heavier.
