60/40 mix

Help! Now that I have 5lbs 60/40,lots of pure lead,and a hole bunch of WW's  How should I mix it up? Shoot alot of cowboy  type loads nothing high speed.        Thanks from Greene Co,PA

9 pounds of wheel weights and 1 pound of 50/50 bar solder gives 10 pounds of #2 alloy. this is rather hard for your needs so cut it back to about half a pound of solder and see how it works.

try mixing 25lbs of pure and 25lbs of ww and add 3-4lbs of your 60-40 and you should have a decent alloy for low velocity handguns that will cast pretty good.

Thanks,fellow casters. I 'll give Lloyd's mix a try. Casting your own bullets and handloading them is a great past-time.Have a good day!
