I am changing scopes on my 223 ultra which has a bull barrel now this came with a the regular scope mount I have a ultra scope mount left over from another project. Should I put it on or would the one on there be good enough? Come to think of it why would they have two mounts? :-)

Either one will probably work OK. Most who use the ultra rail which has the screw out at the front end don't adjust that screw down to touch the barrel. To do so causes bad mojo with the scope and barrel. Justmy2sense.

The skinny on the ultra's scope rail...it's for those heavy long type scopes with large objective bells out on the end,it allows better spacing for the scope...adjust it down to just touch a .015" feeler gauge then lock it down...it does help...
