Leupold conversion - LER
« on: February 25, 2005, 12:03:01 PM »
I have heard that there is someone out there that is converting the Leupold 36X to a 20X LER scope. Have any of you had any experience with this ? Would be interested in knowing how much eye relief you get - and if it would be enough eye relief for creedmoor position in silhouette shooting. ---- thanks !! P Braud

Yes, there is someone who does conversions on Leupold scopes and other related work.  I think that he is out west, like Arizona, but I don't know for sure.

I tend to wonder if such a conversion is really worth the money, or if you should just sell your scope and get the one that you want/need.

Thanks Zachary --- the problem is - no one makes what we are looking for. For all of us that shoot IHMSA Half-scale and .22 1/5th scale, we are lookng for a higher magnification scope. I know that this could be an expensive proposition considering the high initial price of the scope, but, it would be great for those "itty bitty" shoot-off targets ! Just a dream - I suppose !
