familiar with this outfitter

I've been thinking about a javelina hunt next winter. I did some web research and found a place in Bourne Texas run by a Pete Ray and Klint Graf.  Is anyone familiar with the place. I would appreciate any feedback. Or, If you know of another outfitter you would reccommend let me know.

Tony, me and 5 others hog hunted with these guys last Feb.(2004). Klint, the owner, shook our hands when we got there and then left, never saw him again.  Pete is a real likable fellow. But between 6 hunters on two hunts per day, we saw a total of two hogs.  three of us wanted javelina also and two of us did get one (I didn't :cry: ).  Pete and the other giude did seem to work really hard, I just think they over-hunt their ranches as far as hogs go.  One guy from our group emailed Klint about the lack of game and afew other things. Klint replyed and said he would try to offer a discount for another hunt.  When I went to book for this year, the price had gone up $150, so I don't guess I'll hunt with them again.  Please keep in mind this was a hog hunt, Javelina is a totally different critter and I would guess they could put you on to one .  If you have any questions, pm me and I'll give you my Phone #.  good luck.

Thanks Mike....I'll stay away from them.   I had another outfitter I was looking at called Timberline Outfitters from Arizona. They were $1500 for a week long hunt.  Have you heard of them?

No problem Tony. I haven't heard of timberline, but if you just want javelina, $1500 seems kinda steep to me. If your not too fussy about accomidations, and willing to cook your own food, i would think you could find some day hunts for less. Depends on what you are looking for in a hunt/vacation though. good luck and have fun!
