hey
had an interresting day at bass pro las vegas last week
started talking to the gals in the spotting scope and binocular section
and figured out right away it was a waist of time they were nice and all
but when we started talking optics they were both lost i asked to look thru a swaro el in 8x32 and the lady said yea these are made in russia and these sl s are supposed to be really good i said oh really
made in russia huh she said yep i said have you ever looked thru them
she said no i have only looked thru these green ones on the top
(slc 10x50 or something) then a few other guys came up wanting binos so i chatted with them for a little while explaining that el s are the top of the line swaros and all about lens coatings and things and when they finally left the lady behind the counter goes we need to get you a part time job
here you know a lot about how these things work no thanks lady
ill go back to california anyway bass pro is a cool store it was my first time ever going to one im just glad i left my credit cards at home!!!
