I have a 15" for my Encore and it's equal to a 30/30 Winchester. You'll like it.

If this was the one TCA had the raffle on, it is a twenty inch barrel

So. . .YOU got my barrel. . .just kidding, I was in that TCA raffle too.  I have the 15 inch barrel for my Encore, but haven't worked up any loads for it yet.  Primarily I'll be shooting groundhogs with it, as we can't used bottle-necked cartridges for deer here in Ohio.

Couple of things to note--while you can shoot milsurp ammo through these barrels, you will sometimes have misfires because the primers are set a little deep for the SKS and AK's.  I have also had problems with Wolf ammo, not just in misfires, but I've had problems getting the breech open (Wolf and milsurp ammo will use .311 bullets, most American-loaded commercial ammo will use .308).  I have shot the cheap Winchester ammo with no problems, and with very good accuracy.  I hope to reload here in the next few weeks, and hope to be out shooting when it warms up, so I can report more later!
