I have a 100 pack of 50 grain Barnes VLC .224. I was wondering if anyone has load data for these. I will be using winchester brass, and shooting a 24 inch Encore. Also I need a good cheap micrometer. Anyone know where to find one?

Try working up to around 36-37g of Varget. I used to load for 3 .22-250's, and 2 out of 3 liked Varget best, the other liked 35.5g of IMR 4064.

Most 22-250s are pretty easy to load for, as was mentioned Varget, H-380, IMR 4064, RL-15, I even use IMR-4350 and a host of others all work very well in mine.

I liked Varget a lot until I tried Vitavhouri N-140. Both are great choices. The V powder behind Hornady V-max 40-50 gr bullets is awesome. It leaves nothing but hair, teeth and eyeballs at 400 yds.

I haven't used the Barnes 50 grainers, but with Hornady V-Max or Nosler Ballistic Tips in 50 grains, my Savage model 12 really likes W760 and H380.
