Getom59, at their web site above it states the same, but I'm not sold on that idea. I have a lot of confidence in Eesox, Breakfree CLP and The Inhibitor so I always finish up with one of them. Have been doing so for the last year with the WipeOut, works for me.

Ian, their web site states that WipeOut won't harm modern stock finishes, but it will remove varnish and oil finishes. So far, I've not had any issues with it on any of my rifle stocks, but then, I don't leave it on any surface that I don't intend for it to be on, which I think is prudent, just in case. It doesn't have any effect on my skin that I've noticed, but my last statement covers that issue, too! :wink:
It is safe for all modern paint, gunstock finishes and steels. It however is not safe for varnish , shellac or old oil type finishes. IT WILL REMOVE THEM.
