:cb2: Not counting the AK-47 and SKS does anyone beside Ruger make a semi-automatic in 7.62x39?

Didn't the israeli Gallil (sp?) also chamber 7.62X39? IIRC it was vaguely similar to an AK design, but mechanically different.

If you count the current SAIGA sporters as not being  AKs, then those too come in 7.62X39.

i dont recall a galil in 7.62x39 they did however make it in 7.62x51   (308)

:cb2: Hope I didn't make a mistake. Found a Mini-30, SS, synthetic stock used, but in brand new condition--doesn't even look like it has been fired, for $399 (before tax and license, dealer prep charges, deluxe undercoating, shipping, and extended 60,000 mile warranty). I listened to folks on the Ruger forum and went ahead and put a muzzle brake and a recoil buffer on it. Now I just gotta find time to shoot it. I know they are not known for exceptional accuracy, but it seemed like a decent price and maybe I can hit a coyote between 50-100 yards with it. Fingers crossed.  :eek:

Good luck-the Mini-30 is one of only two guns I have ever sold and it was GOOD RIDDANCE! I've heard that working with the stock (maybe to take pressure off the barrel?) can increase accuracy some.

You coulda built an AR15 for $ 600  :wink:

:cb2: I know. I should have held out and got the Armalite 180B. The Ruger might wind up as a Relative Gun. When the relatives come to visit they always want to go shooting. (They never buy ammo, or stick around to clean the guns.) At least with this one the ammo is cheap and who cares if they hit anything!  :wink:
