Factory turnaround time for new barrel
« on: March 08, 2005, 06:07:52 AM »
Anybody get their rifle/barrel back from the factory lately?  What's the current actual turnaround time?

I mailed mine Feb 8 USPS Priority.  They said 4-6 weeks and I've already waited a month.  Jeez I can't wait!!  I sounds like folks here order barrels all the time, somebody has to know the current real time frame...

The factory received my receiver on 2/3/05.  I called this morning and they told me my action and new barrels were shipped back to me yesterday.  I can't wait!

I ordered the 357 magnum and 12 gauge Tracker 2 slug barrels.  I would say the turn around was pretty good.  I also had them lighten the trigger pull as well.

It  took me a day or 2 shy of 4 weeks to have a .357 Barrel fitted and get a factory trigger job last Fall. From what I have been able to get from recent posts it's taking about 5-6 weeks right now. Just do it!!! The longer you wait the longer it is until you get the gun back!!....<><....

I've been thinking about a 280 barrel and a trigger job myself.  My problem is I only have one Handi.  If I send that in I'll be gunless!  Since that's unacceptable, I think my only option is to buy a whole new gun.

A sacrifice I gladly make....I've mowed my lawn 3 times in the last month, the past few days we've seen 65-70° daytime temps with sunshine and few, if any clouds, all day long....too bad the rifle range is only open on the weekends, what a waste....
