I've had both the kelTec .32 and when the 380 came out, got it. I later got an LCP. To me, the Ruger was bit more "refined", but no more reliable than the kelTec. Its Sixes. so whatever feels best in your hand will be best. I also shot Buffalo Bore +P 100gr HC in both for carry. Pretty snappy in both. Good luck to you Pard!
PS I'd also add that these little pistols are not designed to shoot thousands of rounds, rather, to be reliable with the right ammo, using the right grip, in close range personal protection. I never expected one to last as long as a stock Glock or 1911, and while there are examples of individual pistols lasting a long time, its just not the norm. However, the "best" part of using a pistol of this type is (a) it it breaks, you can easily replace it. (b) if you ever have to use it, the police will take it and you may never see it again. Much better than your tricked out Wilson or even a decent Kimber. lol. Of course, one must have confidence in one's CCW handgun. For me, I decided to go with the smallest handgun "I could fight with", not just a belly gun. I personally could not hit well with either pocket pistol "like I wanted to". The smallest I found that I could fight with, hit with, was reliable was the PF9. Then I actually found that I preferred going to a G19/23/29 package. Sure, at my age, I'd rather live over an attack and lose my pistol to the Law than get hurt or killed because I couldn't stop the threat. I am also a firm believer ( I am, no one else may be) in any up close and personal (figure grappling, etc) its difficult to beat a good tactical folder, in spite of the "knife to a gunfight" cliché. A knife sure beats me having to use "the Ranger thumb in the eye" defense, ha.
