I have not found them on the WalMart page . . . do you have a link where I could print that out and order one?

The special order book at the store has more than is shown on the Wal-Mart web site. The last time I looked, the web site only had Ultra's listed.
You can go to the Sports South web site and see what they have in stock. Print the SS page with the gun you want (and all the stock #'s) and take it to Wal Mart. If you're lucky the person behind the sporting goods counter will know how to order it for you. Good luck.

From what I've learned at RFC, the 17hmr and 17M2 Sportsters are regular stock items at WM, so they don't show up in the special order catalog and their use of the term "regular stock" leaves a bit to be desired as far as them keeping them in stock.....poor management coming to mind first.

Never seen one in any of the Local Wal-Marts. Only have the shotguns here.

I haven't bought a firearm from WM yet, but I've looked at em there, have 2 stores in town here, one has a great firearms display including Sportsters, Handis and the Marlin 917V and VS, the other store never has had any of em. The one that is stocked well also has the winchester white box .223 ammo, the other one, which is closer to my home, won't even order it for me....the firearms counter manager there is a real slug.....That's why I know it's the management that makes the difference, just depends on how well they run their shop.
