Which is the better powder to use in the WSM IMR 4350 or IMR 4831? I will be using 165grain bullets and medium loads. IS an SST a good bullet?

I would think that RL-19 would work well for you. It does for me in a 7WSM in medium weight bullets and I've read it does well for other owners of 300WSM.

RL-19 is the best powder for my .300 wsm and 165 gr Noslers BT at around 2925 fps.

will tell you everything you need to know about loading for your 300WSM
I use H4350 for mine with 165 grain Nosler Partitions and Hornady Interbonds with excellant results.

I've had excellent results with 165gr Ballistic Silvertips and W760 as well.
