I'm prejudice. I like Browning A-5's. I would pay that for that gun. BUT; what are going to use it for. I don't believe you can shoot steel shot in this gun. If you updated to a new barrel with choke tubes, you are probably looking at another $300(just a guess).

As I say, I'd pay that much for one. I paid that much for a Miroku made
A-5 20ga. mag 3 years ago and it was excellent.

"worth" is a relative term.  All it takes is one interested buyer.   I'm an interested buyer.

To me, yes it's worth it.  Why?  My father has the light 12, 12 mag, and the Sweet Sixteen Belgium mades.  He's always wanted to complete the set with a 20 ga A5.  So, to me, yah, it's worth it.

Is it any "better" made than the Miroku?  Probably not, then again, a lot of Browning lovers are just plain old school and sentimental.  I'm not, but my father is.

I'll tell you what.  If that gun truly is in the condition that you say it is, I'd be interested in helping you turn a quick profit.  If you get it for $500, send me an e-mail and I'll take it off your hands for more than you gave for it.  Think of yourself as a "broker." :-D  :-D   recurverx@aol.com

Nice 20 ga. Brownings have a market value of more than that.  I would buy it.
