Rebarreling Ruger K77

How easy,how expensive is it to have a Ruger K77 rebarreled?
Being a southpaw,my caliber choices are severely limited.
I'm pondering about having a Ruger stainless lefthand mdl77 rebarreled from 30/06[or 25/06] to 35 Whelen.I'd be interested in going to a 24"stainless barrel with iron sights.

The Rugers are no harder to rebarrel than a mauser or M70 and a bit less trouble than the M700..  The Whelan is a great choice,, I suspect the 30-06 will be easiest to find and will work just great for a Whelan.

All the measurements are the same on the whelan and the 30-06, barrel change should be all you are looking at. :D    JIM

Rugers are probably THE easiest to rebarrel. I have one that is still a switch barrel, a short action MarkII stainless. Right now it's a .250 Savage Improved. Other barrels are 22-250, 243, 308, 7.62x39 [works just 'ok' with the smaller rim diameter on extraction]. Thought about fitting a .270 Win barrel as I have an Ackley Improved [.270] reamer. Would have to be a single shot in the short action.
