Scope and Mount recommendation
« on: February 18, 2003, 10:15:16 AM »
I want to mount a scope on a mid-grip XP-100 in 221 fireball.

I need input on scope with appropriate magnification for the caliber, but look in proportion with the gun.  Will be used for ground hogs, and maybe tree squirrels with reduced loads.  A recommendation on a mount and rings  would also be appreciated.

Straight Shooter,

I'm not quite sure about the mounts, but you may want to contact Leupold and ask them.  Specifically, go to their website and use it where you can match a scope to a given gun.  I don't know if your gun is mentioned, but you can take a look.

As for scopes, I would recommend the Bushnell Elite 3200 2x-7x, the Burris 2x-7x, the Nikon 2x, or, the pricier Leupold 2x-7x.  I think that all of these scopes are great, and should match the size of your gun.
