magnum caps ?
« on: March 15, 2005, 09:47:28 AM »
I just opened a box of CCI number 11 caps that I bought a while back and discovered they are No. 11 Magnum caps.  Is there that much difference ?  In other words can I use these as reg number 11's or are they for only larger pistols like the walkers and dragoon's and the such?
If so, what a wonderful reason to buy a walker.  (Like we need a reason for another gun, right)

Any help appriciated.

Thanx,  Steve

I use the CCI#11Mag caps on everything, both rifle and my 1858 Rem replica.  About the only difference between the standard & the mags is that the Mags have a little more compound in them.  I really don't see them as being any hotter - just more consistent.  And my Chrony tests pretty much back that up - no difference in velocity.
