deer sheds??????????????

hi,
just wondering if anyone could tell me when the best time would be to look for deer sheds (horns).
where would be a good spot to look?
ect...
when do they shed their horns?
i am in the northwest region of minnesota.

Late winter-early spring
In Georgia that is anyway.
The blasted squirrels knaw them all
to pieces pretty quickly though.
