Choate stock with a shotgun barrel?
« on: March 17, 2005, 09:29:32 PM »
I'm planning on buying a Handi-Rifle chambered in .243 Win this spring, adding a Choate pistol-grip synthetic stock and fore-end, and then sending it back to the factory to have a 12-gauge smoothbore barrel installed as well.  My question is, can the Choate stock be used for both the rifle barrel and the shotgun barrel?  I'll use a scope on my .243 barrel, but will I be able to line up the bead accurately with the Choate stock?  Thanks.

:D The standard 12 gauge barrel will work.  I have done this with my survivor .308 and you can use the foreend.  It will not work on the ultra slug 20ga though already tried.  I was still able to line the bead up just fine.
